For many of them out there in the world of Social Media, Privacy is a Big Concern and we hope facebook respects that soon as facebook has not responded back on this particular issue as yet. Also Myspace had a major revamp by simplifying its privacy settings, believing user might start using the social network back. Coming back to the privacy concerns buzzing around the world, here is what we believe will keep your privacy in check.
ReclaimPrivacy is a website to keep a count on the privacy concerns one faces on facebook. This sure shot solution is a 2 minute thing, where your privacy can be claimed and changed. I changed mine and now you can also change yours. Here is how
1) Go to facebook.com and log in with your respective id to land up to the profile page
2) The next thing you do is click on the following link of privacy settings http://www.facebook.com/settings
3) Now that you are on the privacy settings page, you need to copy the following code to the URL browser in place of the link already there and press the Enter Key
javascript:(function(){var%20script=document.createElement(’script’);script.src=’http://static.reclaimprivacy.org/javascripts/privacyscanner.js’;document.getElementsByTagName(’head’)[0].appendChild(script);})()
4) You will see a series of privacy scans that inspect your privacy settings and warn you about settings that might be unexpectedly public
This is what you will land up on while making a security check. You can now make the changes you want to and share with friends via the share options. Now that you know about it, tell all your friends about the same as well
