A lot of brands are starting to market and create a presence for themselves on social media. This need has lead to a plethora of new age marketing agencies who call themselves as social media agencies. While its great to have a social media agency to handle your work. It may make sense for marketers to ask some key questions to their agency before taking them on board. Here are 8 key questions that a brand manager or marketer should ask his or her prospective agency.
- Will you be listening or monitoring conversation? If yes which tools will you use?
- Who will create content? Can you share some samples of content creativity you have shown in the past?
- How much content will you create? What kind of content would need approvals and at what frequency?
- Do you have checks in place to combat a social media crisis?
- Will you be able to transcend the messages on social media to connect to my brand?
- Who from my company would need to be involved with your agency? What will it depend upon?
- Will you create a company guideline for social media engagement?
- How will you measure ROI? With what tools? What targets will you set and how will we benchmark these targets?
Do give me your feedback and let me know if more questions can be added to this list!
